Vio Valakia, a weak and cowardly vampire on the run from a horrific pair of hunters, comes upon a ghastly sight: in a dilapidated forest storehouse locked from the inside, a young girl lies stabbed in the back, inches away from death. This was a cute book, enjoyed the blend of fantasy, vampires and locked room. I felt like I was reading a light novel with the illustrations and the writing. There seems to be a second novel on the way, so I'll definitely check it out.
